mother teresa…

one of my bestest friends sent this my way. poignant to say the least…

amazed at our world…

so i’m riding my bike through campus yesterday when my coffee mug pops out of my water bottle holder and falls to the ground.  lid flies off, etc., etc.  walking up to the scene is presumably a Ball State professional type person.  he’s wearing a suit and pulling one of those rolling briefcases.  looks nice, respectable. you’d expect him to be a  bsu prof or something.

so he says to me as i’m turning around to pick up my goods, “hey you dropped your mug,” and then he proceeds to just walk right by it.

now i’m no saint, and generally pretty self consumed, but even i can’t imagine someone riding by me, dropping their mug, being in a super easy situation to help them out, and just walking by!

what is the world coming to when even the more “respectable ones” among us won’t stop to lend a simple hand?

there’s the rant.  thanks for your ear. Lord help us all.

well it’s been way too long, but it’s time to get back at it….

well it’s been almost a month since my last post.

so sad…

at any rate, ball state has kicked into full gear, students are back and things are moving fast.  but in many ways we’re through the thick of the “event” type stuff.  now it’s the fun part of the work in reconnecting and connecting with students.

i hesitate to even say it, but i’m going to do my best to actually keep up with this thing a bit better, albeit look for shorter posts to be sure.

you can pray for ball state, remember our church, and pray that Jesus would have His way here…
